Description

Internal coaches are significant contributors to organisational learning and development, committing time alongside busy “day jobs” to develop their coaching skills and contribute to the development of their colleagues.

Internal coaches have opportunities that external coaches do not. Most notably, the potential to make sense of system dynamics together. As coach and client, they become co-inquirers into the client’s experience of their organization and the challenges they face, learning in relationship, in the system.

However, internal coaches also face the challenges that come from working in the same organization system as their clients, in particular the possibility of unequal power dynamics, occupying multiple roles, and the dilemma of sometimes knowing too much.

The potential that internal coaches can bring to their clients as co-inquirers into the cultural dynamics of the organization is significant, and this kind of relational work requires maturity, skill, training, practice and support.

Join us

Drawing on more than two decades of developing coaches, we have developed a new coaching development process specifically aimed at the internal coach.

We’re showcasing the process and exploring the experience of the internal coach at a breakfast workshop for a small group of personally invited guests who we know will be just as excited about the power of internal coaching as we are.

We really hope you can join us.
